Bugs, questions, ideas for the app, all of it goes to the same inbox. If something broke, tell us what you tapped just before, and which phone you're on. A screenshot helps a lot.
Got a new phone, or Pro disappeared?
Your subscription belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, not to the phone, so you never pay twice.
- Open the app and tap the menu button at the top left of the Dashboard to open Settings.
- Tap Manage Subscription.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
Make sure the phone is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you paid with.
Cancel your subscription
Apple and Google handle the billing, so you cancel with them, not inside the app. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it.
iPhone or iPad: open the Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Escalator Field Command, then Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Escalator Field Command, then Cancel subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date or you'll be charged for the next period. You keep Pro until the end of the time you've already paid for.
Refunds also go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play. We can't issue them ourselves.
Move your route to a new phone or a coworker
In Settings, tap Export / Import Data. Export makes one file with your units, records, photos and manuals. Send it to the new phone (AirDrop, email, Files, Google Drive) and use Import there.
Backups
The app makes a backup on your phone every day. You'll find them in Settings under Backups & Restore. On iPhone and iPad you can also turn on iCloud Backup, which keeps a daily copy in your own iCloud Drive.
The daily backups live on the phone itself, so they don't help if the phone is lost. Export a copy now and then, or turn on iCloud Backup.
The Field Guide won't load
The guide needs signal the first time it opens. After that it's saved on the phone and works in a pit with no bars. Asking a question always needs signal.
Privacy
Your records stay on your phone. Read the full privacy policy.
